TEE UP FOR UKRAINIAN wounded warriors

Our sincerest thank you to the Jemsek-Hinckley Family.

In 2022, the Ukrainian American Post 32, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, received a phone call from the Jemsek-Hinckley family, owners of the St. Andrews Golf and Country Club of West Chicago. Their great-grandparents fled from the iron-fisted rule of Tsar Nicholas II in the early 1900s to find a home in Illinois. Their homeland was an area that is now known as Western Ukraine.

The Jemsek’s prospered and eventually established a golf course in the 1900s. Nearly 100 years later Jerry Hinkley, today’s owner of St. Andrews, knowing he had a Ukrainian ancestry, was drawn to help Ukrainians who are currently fleeing Russian terrorism.

In 2024, we will again come together to play on this wonderful course to raise funds to help thousands of injured veterans.

Veterans humanitarian fund

Since 2017, the Ukrainian American Veteran’s Post 32 has been working with the Military Medical Clinical Centre of Western Region in Lviv, Ukraine to support wounded soldiers with various injuries and long-term disabilities. Through constant communication with the hospital staff, the Ukrainian American Veterans has stepped in to provide needs-based resources like prosthetics, wheelchairs, and other rehabilitation mechanisms to testing supplies and more. With over 30,000 patients needing prosthetics by the end of 2023 and the extensive mine contamination across 40% of Ukrainian territory, the demand for support is urgent.

With your support, we can make a difference.

Слава Україні! Героям слава!

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to her heroes!
