In 2022, the Ukrainian American Veterans Post 32, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was contacted by the Jemsek-Hinckley family, owners of St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago. Their great-grandparents fled Russia’s brutal rule in the early 1900s, seeking refuge in Illinois. The Jemseks built a legacy with the golf course, and today, Jerry Hinkley, deeply connected to his Ukrainian roots, is determined to support our initiatives.
In 2025, we will again come together to play on this wonderful course to raise funds for the Ukrainian American Veterans Memorial Fund to create a lasting tribute to the heroes whose service has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of our nation.
